Im not trolling you guys, but the team is worse this year than they were under Roy last year. I'm not seeing any improvement... what am I missing?

no they arent, they have the exact same record this year as the previous 2 years at this point in the season with arguable some of the worst luck and under preforming offense compared to those last 2 seasons.

Same point total this year compared to those season without being dead last in possession stats being outshot 3-1 almost every game. They actually have improved when it comes to team structure, possession stats.

You might not see the improvement but its there, They are not any worse than Roys time.

No way man, when you've got $hit players in the system that's not the coach's fault. He inherited this team. Goloubev is the only player he's gotten over here.

Worse depth this year with how poorly iggy and beauch have regressed, Colborne and soderberg being non existence and as bad as the goaltending has been.

Only reason avs treaded water as much was based on varly or pickard being lights out for big stretches of games.

Avs are no worse than years past and not riding a hot goaltender

Look at your above response, players regressed and lack of depth does in fact make this team worse this previous years. Also Varly hasn't been hot in 3 years.

Honestly I think you probably should stop caring about this team already, You are a miserable sad sack, I dont think you have said one positive thing about this team in 5 years nor can you even look at things objectively.

The team is having the same record with poorer play out of their depth but with better positives with underlying numbers. How does that make them a worse team. I see some positives there despite the fact they are in the exact same position 3 seasons in a row. Meaning that things can turn around vs other years when there was no clear direction of better play coming out of them

What do you think that means. That the core is still carrying this team but can't do it alone. They are medicore team, but they are not a laughing stock defensively as years past that were bailed out by hot goaltenders to keep their head above water.

This team was never in last place in the NHL during the last 3 years, They are in last place right now. You keep blaming the depth, but is the depth really that much worse then seasons past? I don't think so. It seems to be the same.
